Elemental Effects

Elemental effects can be caused by magic weapons that have an elemental power (example, a fire blade). Elemental effects can also be caused by spells. There are four types of elemental effects: fire, ice, wind, and lightning. Each element will have a different effect on some races. Some races might be resistant to some elements, but weak to others. Be sure you know which elements your character is strong and weak to! Please note that when using an elemental weapon like swords or ball-and-chains, you must roll an even number on the actual attack roll. If you have bonuses adding to your attack roll, whatever your roll becomes will be the basis for whether the elemental effect is in play. For example, if I rolled an 8, and had a +1 bonus for whatever reason on my role, my role is actually 9, and the elemental effect cannot be used. If one's bonus were +2 (increasing my roll to a 10) then the elemental effect is in play, and the enemy they attack will suffer with it. Turn based elements (ice, wind) do not stack on top of each other. If a character is frozen, they must be unfrozen for one turn before a freezing effect can be placed on him again.

Fire: This element adds +2 damage to whatever attack it is used on. If the character being attacked is weak to fire, it will do +4 damage. If the character is strong against fire, it will only do +1 damage

Ice: Ice effects will cause characters to freeze in place for 2 turns. If the character is weak to ice attacks, It will freeze them for 3 turns. If they are strong against ice attacks it only freezes them for 1 turn.

Wind: Wind element effects give -2 on all  action dice roles for 2 turns. If a character is weak to this element, they get -4 on all rolls for 3 turns, and if they are resistant to wind, they only get -1 on dice rolls for 1 turn.

Lightning: this element attacks the enemy’s energy for using special attacks, taking away 2 energy points per attack. If the character is weak to lightning, it will take away 3 points per attack, and if they are strong against it, it will take away 1 point per attack.
